micro:bit with Kids Code Jeunesse

December 8 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Getting Merry with Micro:bits!
Computer Science Education Week | December 3 to 9, 2018

Hour of Code is a worldwide effort run by Code.org to celebrate and increase participation in computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities during Computer Science Education Week (December 3-9, 2018). As an international partner of Code.org, KCJ is joining in on the fun this December!

Join KCJ for an introductory coding workshop on micro:bits, but with a holiday twist! This workshop will introduce you to the micro:bit, a small programmable computer – a single board, smaller than a pack of gum – that primes students to explore the rich potential of physical computing. The workshop will take you through several holiday-themed coding projects that will be perfect to use in the classroom with your students this holiday season.

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS: Please bring a fully charged laptop with USB port.

Micro:bits will be provided and teachers will each receive a class-set to take back to their classrooms.
